Kim-Oliver was born on January 25, 1977 in Bagio City on the Philippine Islands. He is the youngest of four by Rosy and Jose Cuason. At the age of five his mother and father moved to the United States in search of a better life for their children. After two long years, on May 19, 1984, the family was reunited in Miami. |

Kim-Oliver attended Killian Senior High and paticipated in the marching band and student government. During his senior year he acheived his high school goal of becoming Band Captain and Student Government President. He also actively played water polo and tennis.

Kim-Oliver attended Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and Studio Art. He was an active brother in the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. After college Kim-Oliver moved home to be closer to his family. He soon learned finding a stable job in graphic design was easier said than done. Trying to find some temporary work he decided to apply at The Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove. After a couple of months, through hard work and persistence, he was promoted within the company. After two years he is now working at The Ritz-Carlton, Regional office as an Area Revenue Manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Hotels of Miami and aspires to one day become the Corporate Vice President of Revenue Management for the luxury hotel chain.
